Dear Children
70 '' THE MASTER PLAN''
Many of us believe that whatever we do is right. We assume what we believe is correct. This tendency ultimately ends up many times in misfortune because we cannot be always right and whatever we believe cannot be true. There are some who regret their deed or word later and look forward to rectification for future guidance. Unfortunately there are many also, who do not accept that they were wrong or faulty and put the blame on others. They are not susceptible to ideas or advices from others who have experience not prepared to consider them. They l continue to adopt the same character in whatever they wish to do. When we refer to advices, suggestions, and ideas, from others, we mean only those humans with experience and exposure.
There are also a few who dont avail the benefit of advice and guidance even if the god is interested in them to guide properly!.
Dhuryodhan was one such a person who believed what he did alone was proper and justified. He was thoroughly convinced of what was right and wrong according to his belief and decided his every action.
The bee in the bonnet of Dhuryodhan was Krishna. He was quite uneasy that Krishna always supported the Pandavas. He was not able to contain Krishna into his fold. His only mentor whose ideas and suggestions he welcomed was his evil uncle Sakuni's.
One day Dhuryodhan was expressing his anguish to Sakuni;
''Uncle, I am fed up of Krishna only. He is the biggest obstacle in all our plans. If only he was not there to support the Pandavas, we could very easily deal with the Pandavas. Krishna disturbs my peace. Tell me if you think of any way we can get rid of this Krishna''
Sakuni nodded head simply in approval of what Dhuryodhan said. He was looking thoughtfully as he did not have any ready plan to offer. His mind was however working on this for a long time.
There was also along with them Duschadhan, the brother of Dhuryodhan.
Duschadhan was by nature very quick tempered and he is one person who will act before he thought about it! . He offered a ready solution to Dhuryodhan's problem saying;
''The only way we can solve the problem of Krishna, is to catch hold of him and imprison him in our prison, or dispose of him once for all when he comes here. I can kill him myself''
Dhuryodhan always appreciated his sincere brother. He liked the very thought of imprisoning or killing Krishna. He thought Duschadhan was clear and clever at the same time, in offering a solution. This idea synchronised with his own thinking also. He was wondering how to execute it. He began discussing the idea for putting into action with his friends and was serious about it.
Somehow, this news had leaked out and reached the ears of Sathyaki, a good friend and relative of Krishna. He was very upset and rushed to Dwarka to meet Krishna and alert him of Dhuryodhan's plans.
Satyaki was disappointed when he found Krishna laughing heartily on hearing this news from Sathyaki. Sathyaki felt Krishna was taking the matter very lighltly and probably thought Sathyaki was joking.
“Krishna are you not seriously digesting the information I passed on to you. Dhuryodhan and company, are planning to imprison you and murder you when you visit them at Hasthinapur.
''My dear Sathyagi, I was imagining whether their invitation to me for discussion was to dispose of me and it made me laugh. I was thinking of prospects of a messenger who goes for canvassing peace being put to eternal peace
On the day he was expected at Hasthinapur, Krishna went on his chariot driven by Dharuka and reached by evening. A special guest house was planned by Dhuryodhan for hosting Krishna, but Krishna opted to visit old Vithura and stayed with him in his ashram at the outskirts of Hasthinapur.
The next morning he visited Dhuryodhan and others at the Palace court hall. Krishna observed a good number of armed people surrounding him
“Dhuryodhan I am very happy you have planted a good number of armed personnel for my security. I appreciate your interest in me. Why, is there any one in your kingdom against me and trying to end me?
''No No, nothing like that Krishna. I just wanted to ensure proper reception to you with adequate security as a courtesy''
''Very nice of you Dhuryodhan, What I wanted to convey to you was that in case any one was entertaining an idea of capturing me, imprisoning me or kill me they may be benefited by knowing that I am not alone. I am with you, the Pandavas and all the others you see and know and know not. To attempt to arrest or kill all the lives in the universe need an extensive arrangement and planning which you may convey if you happen to know them. Where will they go for obtaining so many lengths of chains, arms and weapons.''
Dhuryodhan was nonplussed. He looked at Krishna peevishly and stumbled to answer
''Krishna I did not have any plans of what you allege. But Dhuryodhan's body language disproved him. When he looked at Krishna he was bewildered. In the smiling Krishna before him, he witnessed countless Vrishnis, Pandavas, Kauravas, including himself, the Devas, Asuras, Rishis, Mountains, Rivers and Ocans, all living beings and universe in short and began shivering. ''Áh Ah'. Enough Enough'' he cried in fear on seeing all these in a fraction of a moment. He was dumbfounded and stood still like statue made of hard stone.
With all this Dhuryodhan never improved. He depended on his supporters relying on their encouraging words and strength to defeat Pandavas forgetful of Krishna being with them.!!
Dhuryodhan remained Dhuryodhan proving that a dog's tail cannot be straightened and deaf ears do not receive the benefit of saner counsel and guidance.
