This composition is set in a very rare raga Umaabharanam.
In this composition Sri Tyagaraja chiding Rama that he has deluded even the most learned pundits, earthly kings, those who engaged in six forms of worship, those who devoted to chant his holy names by creating differences of deities as Brahma, Vishnu and Siva. He asks why you make even those who have understood his true secrets to languish?
Let us enjoy the kriti in two versions.
Sung by Sri Madurai Mani Iyear and in Flute by Sri T.R. Mahalingam (Maali).
Sri Tyagaraja Aradhana is on 28th Jan 2016, let us hear more of his kritis.
