Namaskaram Sri Rama Navami is being celebrated on 15th April. To celebrate this occasion we are glad to share today the Thyagaraja Kriti “Maamava Raghuraama” in raga Saaranga.
Sri Tyagaraja pleads in this Sloka to protect him by chiding Sri Rama by asking many questions.
We are glad to share the divine voice of Sri M. Balamurali Krishna.
The lyrics with meaning and the audio link is shared in the below link.
Have a divine Sunday and a great week ahead.
Happy Sri Raama Navami wishes to all.
Humble Pranams Anand Vasudevan Gurugram | 10th April 2016 --------------------------
Maamava Raghuraama - Saaranga - Rupaka
Pallavi
Maamava Raghurama Marakatha Mani Shyaama
Oh Raghurama, who shines like emerald and who is blue, please protect me.
Charanam
Paamara Jana Bhima Paalita Sutraama Duritambu Podu Dunuma Manasu Raadu
You are protector of innocent folks . You are protector of Indra. I am not able to get rid off my sins. My mind is not even inclined to do it.
Kalasaambudhilona Karuna Karagipoyenaa Vinumari Samaramuna Vidhi Saramu Virigenaa
Has your compassion melted away in ocean ? Please listen. Was your Brahmastram destroyed in war?
Kala Satyamu Suguna Kaananamuna Nilichenaa Divya Naraapaghana Daivatvamu Boyenaa
Did you leave away your virtues like truth in forest ? Did you loose your divinity because you took human form ?
Raajaadhipa Tyaagaraaja Vinuta Baaga
Oh Rama the king of kings, Tyagaraja worships you.
