Namaskaram
We are glad to share today the Abhang Anuraniya Thokada of Sant Tukaram.
From this song we can understand the knowledge of Sant Tukaram. He says in this Abhang
He is insignificant as a smallest particle and also vast as the sky, conveying the message of status of Brahman.
He says this physical body is only an illusion.
By dis-associating from the Thriputi (Knower, Knowing & Knowledge) he is illumined by the knowledge.
Finally he says he is carrying with his life only to fulfil his obligations to others.
What a message from Sant Tukaram.
Let us hear this Abhang sung by Sri Pandit Bhimsen Joshi whose birthday was celebrated on 4th February.
Enjoy the Abhang and have a divine day.

Anuraniya Thokada – Sant Tukaram
अणुरेणियां थोकडा ।
तुका आकाशाएवढा ॥१॥
Anuraniya Thokada
Tuka Akasha Evadha
Though I am as insignificant as the smallest particles (but being one with the “Brahman” the transcendent reality) I am as vast as the sky.
गिळुन सांडिलें कलेवर ।
भव भ्रमाचा आकार ॥२॥
Giluni Sandile Kalevar
Bhav Bhramacha Aakaar
I discarded my lifeless body because physical body is a form of this illusion of world.
सांडिली त्रिपुटी ।
दीप उजळला घटीं ॥३॥
Sandili Thriputi
Dheep Ujalala Ghati
By disassociating from Thriputi(*), I was illuminated inside by the knowledge.
(*) Thriputi - the triads of knower, knowing and the knowledge. One who Sees, – action, Seeing – ‘object’, what is seen.
तुका ह्मणे आतां ।
उरलो उपकारापुरता ॥४॥
Thukaa Mhane Aathaa
Uralo Upakara Purataa
Now my life remains only to Fulfill my obligations to others.
